Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in "Heat"

It's getting hot in here with Urban Decay! Along with their every-so hyped up Naked Heat palette, they released 3 new lipsticks and 2 colored eyeliners as a part the Heat family.


Among one of the lipsticks is named, yep you guessed it, "Heat", a metallized brick red. The sparkles are so fine that you won't notice them unless you look up close, which is good because I wouldn't want look like I ate a disco ball. You will still get a subtle foiled lip.

Rather than the classic violet Urban Decay tube, the Heat collection lipsticks have a burnt copper tube. 

With one swipe, this lipstick appear sheer and not as pigmented as their cream or matte lipstick formulas. But you can also build it up to the opacity you want. It does feather pretty easily, so you do have to keep reapplying ever few hours, especially after eating. And it applies pretty unevenly so just be sure that you add another swipe (especially for extra pigmentation) Because of the feathering, it is necessary to wear a lipliner with this.

Even though this lipstick is a bit high maintenance to work with, it's surprisingly really comfortable (as much as the cream formulas) and doesn't settle into your fine lines. This is a gorgeous lipstick as we are gearing up for fall weather, and it goes well with any sort of cool-weather outfit (I'm thinking cardigans, navy coats, brown boots, and scarves). I highly recommend that you get your hands on this stunning lipstick if possible, or the other shades from the Heat collection: Scorched (metallized copper) or Fuel (cream nude).
